The Jury Day was the final step of the evaluation process of the 2nd SecurIT Open Call.
On 16 and 17 May, the final round of projects evaluation took place in Paris La Défense, France, at Le Catalyseur. For the second time, all the members of the SecurIT consortium gathered to listen to SecurIT 2nd Open Call applicants who went through several pre-selection steps. 37 online presentations about security innovative solutions were given to the Jury which was mainly composed of SecurIT consortium partners and external experts from the industry.
24 applications to the Demonstration Instrument and 13 to Prototyping Instrument were presented during two days by 80 ambitious SMEs from all over Europe. They were able to present their solutions for protecting sensitive infrastructures, disaster resilience or protecting public spaces, in the hope of being awarded SecurIT funding up to € 88,000.
Those impactful presentations enabled them to clarify and legitimize their projects to the evaluators in order to receive either the prototyping or demonstration grant. For the second and last Jury Day, 21 projects have finally been selected for funding – the results will be announced after the projects kick-off meeting hosted by SecurIT partner L3CE in Vilnius in early July.
